How to Block Email Recipients in Mobile Locker

This guide explains how to use the Blocked Recipients feature in Mobile Locker to prevent emails from being sent to specific email addresses or domains.


What is the Blocked Recipients Feature?

The Blocked Recipients feature allows administrators to block certain recipients from receiving emails sent through Mobile Locker. This is useful when:

  • Organizations have strict email filters that may flag or block your messages
  • Clients complain about receiving emails from pharmaceutical or other companies
  • You need to prevent emails from being sent to specific domains or addresses

How to Access Blocked Recipients

  • Navigate to Administration in the left sidebar
  • Under Communication, select Blocked Recipients

How to Add a Blocked Recipient


In the Add Blocked Recipient section, you can block recipients in three ways:

Option 1: Block by Email Address

  1. Select the Email address radio button
  2. Enter the specific email address (e.g., john.doe@example.com   )
  3. Select the Domain from the dropdown
  4. Click Add or Save

Use this when: You need to block a specific individual's email address


Option 2: Block by Domain

  1. Select the Domain radio button
  2. Enter the domain name (e.g., kaiserpermanente.org   )
  3. Select the Domain from the dropdown
  4. Click Add or Save

Use this when: You need to block all email addresses from an entire organization

Option 3: Block by Pattern

  1. Select Pattern radio button
  2. Enter your regular expression in the "Regular expression" field
  3. Verify - Check that "Pattern is valid" shows in green
  4. Click the + CREATE" button
