What is the Mobile Locker MCP server?

Private beta. The Mobile Locker MCP server is in private beta. Only a team that Mobile Locker has invited can connect. Email support@mobilelocker.com before you allow it for your users. Mobile Locker will send the server address when your team is in the beta.

An MCP server lets an approved AI look up a system you already use. You ask a question in that AI. The AI calls the system. The system answers with what your account can see.

This page explains that idea, then shows how it helps a sales rep, a sales manager, a medical science liaison (MSL), and a Mobile Locker administrator.

What an MCP is

MCP is short for Model Context Protocol. It is a shared way for an AI product to call tools in another system.

You keep using the AI your employer has approved. That AI does not receive a shared password for Mobile Locker. You sign in with your own Mobile Locker account. Each answer stays inside what that account can see.

A question follows this path:

  1. You ask in the AI your employer has approved.
  2. That AI calls a Mobile Locker tool.
  3. Mobile Locker returns what your account can see.
  4. The AI writes the answer in the chat. When you ask for a chart, the AI draws the chart from those numbers. Mobile Locker returns the numbers.

Familiar examples

The same idea already exists for other systems. You stay in one AI. The server is what changes.

  • Calendar. "What is on my calendar tomorrow morning?"
  • CRM. "Which accounts am I visiting this week?"
  • Code host. "What changed in this project yesterday?"

Mobile Locker is that kind of connection for your content, your team, and your activity.

What the Mobile Locker server does

The server is read only. The tools search and look up. They do not create, change, or delete records.

You can ask about teams, users, presentations, brands, labels, groups, email templates, sent emails, campaigns, devices, congresses, attendees, and app logs.

Every answer uses the same rule. Mobile Locker returns what your own account can see.

IT details, including sign-in and the tool call log, are in Security of the Mobile Locker MCP server.

How it helps a sales rep

A rep can ask in the AI they already have open, instead of clicking through Mobile Locker to find one record.

  • "Find the presentation for this brand."
  • "Which email templates can this group use?"
  • "Look up the device assigned to my email."
  • "Did Dr. Jones open the email I sent him last week?"
  • "Which attendees did I capture at this congress?"

Use the AI your employer has approved. The answer is limited to that rep's account.

How it helps a sales manager

A sales manager with many direct reports can ask about team activity in one question. The same chat can also summarize one congress their account can see.

  • "How many of my reps sent emails through Mobile Locker last week? Show a chart by day."
  • "Summarize the congress I am assigned to."
  • "How many attendees did we capture, and which companies were there?"

Mobile Locker returns the counts your account can see. The AI draws the chart by day from those numbers. For one congress, it also returns the attendee count and a chart of the companies.

How it helps an MSL

An MSL can find the approved piece by the name or job code they already have. A job code is the asset id, also called a Veeva Vault document number.

  • "Find the presentation with this job code."
  • "Which groups can use this email template?"
  • "Is this brand active?"

The server looks up the record. It does not give medical or scientific advice. Use the AI your employer has approved.

How it helps an administrator

An administrator can ask about people and content on the teams that account can see. They can also ask about app logs.

  • "Find users in this territory."
  • "Which teams is this person on?"
  • "Look up the campaign we sent last Tuesday."
  • "Which presentations are in the "product information" folder?"
  • "Which presentations can be shared?"
  • "When does this presentation expire?"
  • "Show app error logs for this user from Monday through Wednesday."

A campaign lookup includes the subject, the sender, the template, the list, stored metrics, and the admin URL. It does not include the email body.

Note for IT

Read Security of the Mobile Locker MCP server before you allow the server. Each person signs in with their own account. The tools are read only. That article describes the controls in place today. Every tool call is logged.

Allow the server in the AI product your company has approved. Each product has its own setup article:

Reps, managers, and MSLs use that approved AI. The setup steps stay in the articles above.
