How to make Outlook Classic your default email app in Windows

If you have both New Outlook and Classic Outlook installed on your Windows 11 system and wish to set Classic Outlook as your default email application, please follow these instructions:

From your desktop, click the Start Menu > Settings.

In the sidebar, click Apps.

Select Default apps from the left sidebar

Scroll down to find Old Outlook

Set it as the default for email protocols

Click the + icon to choose a default

If the current default is the New Outlook, simply click the launch symbol, and you'll be prompted to select and change your default email application.
