How to Take a Screenshot on an iPad or iPhone

iPhone with Face ID (iPhone X and later)

Press and hold the Side button (right side of the device)
Simultaneously press the Volume Up button (left side)
Release both buttons quickly
A thumbnail will appear in the bottom-left corner — tap it to edit or swipe it away to save

iPhone with Home Button (iPhone 8 and earlier)

Press and hold the Side button (or Top button on older models)
Simultaneously press the Home button
Release both buttons quickly

All screenshots are automatically saved to your Photos app under:

Photos → Albums → Screenshots

After taking a screenshot, tap the thumbnail that appears in the bottom-left corner to:

Crop or annotate the image
Share it via email, text, or other apps
Save it to your Photos library
