Company-managed Android work profile
Some companies install Mobile Locker into an Android work profile (or a fully managed device) from managed Google Play. You still use the same Android app. The install path is different.
How to tell if you are managed
- Open Mobile Locker, then Settings.
- Scroll to About.
- Read MDM Managed. Yes means this device (or profile) is under mobile device management. No means a normal Play install.
Android also shows a small briefcase badge on work-profile apps. If you see two Mobile Locker icons, open the one with the work badge.

Install when IT assigns the app
- Open the Play Store inside the work profile (often labeled Work).
- Find Mobile Locker in the apps your company assigned, or wait for it to appear after IT pushes it.
- Tap Install.
You do not need a personal APK. Updates may also come from IT instead of as soon as Play publishes them.
What not to do
- Do not sideload an APK from email or a website.
- Do not use the old website link that opens a different Play package.
