Pin the Windows app to the taskbar
Pin the Mobile Locker Windows App to the Windows taskbar so you can open it in one click. You can pin from the app, from a first-run prompt, or from Start.
On this page
First-run prompt
The first time you reach the main app after sign-in, you may see Pin Mobile Locker?
- Click Pin to taskbar to pin it now. Windows may also ask you to confirm.
- Click Not now if you want to skip. You can still pin later from Settings. Choosing Not now does not remove that option.
Screenshot needed
Windows app dialog titled Pin Mobile Locker? with body "Keep Mobile Locker one click away on the taskbar." Buttons: Pin to taskbar and Not now.
Pin from Settings
- In the left sidebar, click your profile at the bottom.
- Click Settings.
- Find the Desktop section, then the Taskbar card.
- Click Pin to taskbar.
If the app is already pinned, the button shows Pinned and the status says Mobile Locker is pinned to the taskbar.
Screenshot needed
Settings, Desktop / Taskbar card with Pin to taskbar (or Pinned) and the status line under Taskbar.
Pin from Start or the taskbar
You can also pin with Windows:
- Open the Start menu and type Mobile Locker.
- Right-click Mobile Locker.
- Click Pin to taskbar.
If the app is already running, you can right-click its icon on the taskbar and choose Pin to taskbar.
Setup also places a Desktop shortcut. You can pin from that shortcut the same way: right-click, then Pin to taskbar.
If Windows blocks the pin
Settings may say Windows is not allowing pin requests right now, or that pin to taskbar is not available on this device. Use Start or the taskbar method above. If your company locks the taskbar, ask IT.
