Create an Email Template

Types of Email Editors.

With ML, you can choose between two editors. 

  • TinyMCE - An online rich text editor that allows for customization, API, and workflow automation.
  • Unlayer - A drag-and-drop editor that allows quick design for email templates and landing pages.

Select the Email Templates tab from the Main Navigation Menu.

Click New Template.

This page allows you to create a new email template. Enter the required information—template name, subject line, and access permissions—select the editor you want to use to design your email content, then click Save.

The Edit Email Template page consists of several key sections:

Template Status Bar

At the top of the page, you'll see:

  • Active/Inactive Status – Shows whether the template is currently available for use
  • Version Number – Displays the current version (e.g., "Version 1")
  • SAVE Button – Click to save your changes
  • Actions Menu – Access additional template options

Navigational Tabs

Use these tabs to access different aspects of your template:

📝 Content Tab

Where you design and write your email content. This is the main editing area.

The tags/tokens are now highlighted in blue. The non-editable sections have a reddish background.

Click Insert Tag to see the available custom tags.


👁️ Preview Tab

View how your email will look when sent to recipients.


⚙️ Settings Tab

The Settings tab allows you to configure essential template properties, including availability, basic information, and access permissions. Changes made here control who can use the template and when it's available.

Choose additional settings for your template.

📊 Audit Trail

View a log of changes made to the template.

📅 Version History

Access and restore previous versions of your template.


Access additional template options by clicking the ACTIONS dropdown (top-right corner, next to SAVE).
