Fax Cover Page and Unsubscribe

Faxing is an optional feature for an additional fee. Contact your Mobile Locker account manager to learn more about this functionality.

Every fax sent through Mobile Locker includes a cover page before your PDF or PowerPoint content. The cover page helps recipients identify the sender and opt out of future faxes.

What appears on the cover page

Mobile Locker always prints:

  1. Optional snippet text — If the sender chose an active fax snippet, that message appears on the cover page (personalized with recipient details when supported).
  2. Message ID — A unique ID for this fax transmission (UUID format).
  3. Unsubscribe instructions — A link to the public unsubscribe page and a short code the recipient enters to opt out.

Example unsubscribe line (wording in the product):

To unsubscribe, go to https://app.mobilelocker.com/fax/unsubscribe and enter code ABCD-1234

The sender sees a cover page preview on the Send Fax screen before submitting.

Public unsubscribe page (recipients)

Recipients do not need a Mobile Locker login.

  1. They open https://app.mobilelocker.com/fax/unsubscribe.
  2. They enter the unsubscribe code from the cover page (format ABCD-1234  ).
  3. Mobile Locker unsubscribes that fax number for your team and shows a confirmation.

After unsubscribe, senders cannot fax that number until an administrator resubscribes the contact.

What senders should know

  • Honor opt-outs promptly. Unsubscribed contacts are blocked in Mobile Locker, but your organization may also maintain separate do-not-fax lists.
  • The cover page unsubscribe is one layer of opt-out. Your compliance team may require additional notice on the first page of the promotional PDF itself. Mobile Locker transmits the file you select; it does not add legal copy inside the PDF.
  • Do not send repeated faxes to the same recipient without explicit permission. The Send Fax screen lists previous faxes to the selected contact as a reminder.

What happens when someone unsubscribes

  • The fax contact (and matching numbers on your team) is marked Unsubscribed.
  • Future sends to that number are blocked.
  • Permission attestation does not override an unsubscribe.

Administrators can resubscribe a contact from the admin fax contact edit screen when appropriate.
